My name is Mark Dion. I am an Electrical Engineer student at VTC. I currently have a fence gate at my house with no way to unlock the gate from the outside. I thought about putting on a normal latch but then that would allow anyone to walk into my back yard whenever they wanted. With my two young kids, I want to make sure they are safe when playing outside. My idea is to create a Solar Charged Gate Lock that will open when you enter the correct password on a keypad. When the correct password is entered an actuator will move, unlocking the gate.
